Correspondence consists of a letter from a representative committee of the U.S. Corps of Cadets to the students of Ecole Polytechnique, congratulating them on the success of the French Revolution; letter, 1 Oct. 1830, to Lafayette asking him to convey the congratulatory letter to the French Corps of Cadets; letter, 29 Nov. 1830, from Lafayette thanking the members of the U.S. Corps of Cadets for their letter and promising to convey the letter to the French students as soon as they return from vacation; letter, 8 Jan. 1831, from Lafayette enclosing the reply of the French students; letter, in French, from students at the Ecole Polytechnique thanking the U.S. Corps of Cadets for the letter and their friendship.
